How to wear a skater skirt in the Fall
This Fall, the skater skirt you’ve been loving all summer can continue to be your number one outfit choice. Layer it up, pull on your favourite cosy jumper, or add a pop of colour; I’ve got three ways you can wear yours this Fall in keeping with trends and accessories you love.
Burgundy is all around in the Fall, and whether it’s in scarf, top, dress or jumper form, you need some in your wardrobe! We’ve paired a cut out shoulder top here with a monochrome Aztec skater skirt. This collects a couple of trends at the same time, making it perfect for the weeks running up to the colder weather before you’re hidden away by your winter coat. If you want to keep trendy this Fall, then find a skater skirt like this Aztec one, or there are a huge variety of patterned ones on the high street for you to choose from.
Laying is my favourite thing about autumn. There’s nothing cosier than a shirt tucked under a warm jumper. This is what we’ve done here, keeping the skater skirt plain to allow for a patterened jumper. Black skirts a perfect for pairing with floral shirts or jumpers and are really easy to find. Wearing these chunky cut out boots, it’s made this outfit easy to dress up for an evening out; just take off the jumper and pop on a chunky necklace and you’re good to go!
Monochrome has been around for a few seasons now and it will definitely be seeing us through until Winter. Skater skirts look great with tights and a pair of chunky boots, or if you’re feeling brave, strip off the tights and slip on some frilly socks. Puling on a textured cardigan like this one will add some interest to the outfit, along with a gold statement necklace. This monochrome look will work perfectly for school, work, or a day out with the girls.
